About us
A New Haven drug development company focused on cancers of the central nervous system.
Our mission
We are building treatments for brain cancers that today have few or no effective options. Our approach combines established molecules with a route of delivery that reaches the brain directly. The goal is a therapy that is active against the tumor and compatible with a good quality of life.
Curatio was founded in 2024 and is based in New Haven, Connecticut. Our lead program, LMP01, holds FDA Orphan Drug Designation for malignant glioma.
Our approach
We started with a deep study of glioblastoma biology and of existing molecules that could act on it. That knowledge was applied under compassionate use to a patient with IDH wild-type glioblastoma who had been given a few months to live, and who went on to survive more than ten years with a high quality of life. One case cannot show that a treatment works. We are now testing that observation in controlled preclinical studies, with the goal of moving into clinical trials.
We keep our organization lean, set early decision points for every program and work with specialized research organizations and academic centers rather than building costly infrastructure ahead of the data.
